2024 Physical Improvements and maintenance: new fishing dock, beach clean-up day, goose mitigation, lake water testing during swimming season, dam & beach mowing, beaver and muskrat control algae control, dam checks and reviews, fish stockings and overall lake maintenance.

Siltation Committee presented its report on efforts to build silt dams at areas that drain into the lake. Work continues on gathering easement-based access to proposed dam areas and quotes for the work that include quality work and recommended liability insurance coverages. Work in 2024 showed that the cost of the two most critical silt dams is estimated at $70,000 or less and that it would likely save money to do the first two at the same time. (At the WOLA HOA Annual Meeting on Nov. 6, 2023, membership approved spending up to $25,000 on one dam.)

With that information, a motion was made to expand the scope to two dams with a project cost of $70,000 or less for the work and having final project proposal and presentation go from the Erosion and Siltation Committee to the WOLA Board for final review and approval, giving members an opportunity to hear details of the final proposals.
